It's been a busy few weeks for us in Colorado. With all the wedding festivities, family visits, doctor appointments, and church commitments, we have't been able to post as much as we'd like. It's been great spending time with family and friends and reconnecting at our home church. We were able to share briefly about what God is doing in Ukraine at our home church (Calvary Aurora) as well as one of our other supporting churches (Calvary Castle Rock). God has truly blessed us with Godly, encouraging, supporting churches.
Emily and I were both a little nervous about coming back to American after being gone for 7 months. We've missed home a lot since we've been in Ukraine, and we were not sure what our emotions would be once we were back in Colorado. We were nervous that we wouldn't want to go back to Ukraine and just stay in America. However, the Lord has really blessed us. We miss Ukraine. It is our home in this season of life and we are anxious to get back there. It is so amazing to see how the Lord has equipped us to be missionaries over there. He has put a strong desire in our hearts to be living there and although we still love Colorado so much, right now Ukraine has our hearts. The Lord wants us there and we want to be there.
This thought reminds me of Ephesians 4. God gives the gifts and the means to us to fulfill His calling. Our lives are a testimony of that. He's given us what we need to be missionaries in Ukraine.
Ephesians 4:11-12 says; "And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ."
We get on a plane back to Ukraine this Friday (May 24th). Please keep us in prayer as we travel and for the next couple months of busy ministry.
Blessings,
Byron
