Emily and I have set a goal for ourselves to each write a blog post weekly. We want to have frequent posts on here so that you (our supporters) can feel like you are close to us and involved in the ministry here in Ukraine. So today is my day to write...
Like Emily mentioned in the last post, life and ministry here in Ternopil has been picking up speed. We've only been here 17 days, but it feels like the Lord has done so much already! We have another busy weekend of student ministry and outreach coming up. We're also praying that our mid-week student Bible study will begin this upcoming week. It's so encouraging to see all the people in this city hungry to hear the Word.

The Lord has blessed Emily and I personally this past week as we have become more settled in and daily life is starting to feel really normal. The marshrutka routes are becoming more familiar. We have found a few malls, markets, bakeries, and restaurants around town that are awesome. We met our landlady and paid our utilities. We now know were a couple of the universities and dorms are around the city. We even figured out how to turn up the heat and work the washing machine! haha

I know all these things seem small and unimportant, but we see these as big victories and blessings from the Lord. When we first got here we were so helpless! Everyday the Lord has been so faithful in the little things. And now that all the normal daily life errands are actually becoming normal for us, we really feel at home. It's been a good week as we have been able to shift our focus from our daily life needs to ministry needs.
If the Lord brings us to your mind this weekend, please specifically pray for the outreach we are doing Saturday night in the square and for the youth night we are having Sunday night at our apartment. Pray that the people we interact with see the hope and life they can have in Jesus. Also, pray for Emily and I as we begin our Ukrainian lessons on Wednesday.
Blessings,
Byron
