We hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving this year with family and friends. Emily and I enjoyed out first holiday overseas this past Thursday at Calvary Chapel Bible College in Vajta, Hungary.
The college made an awesome Thanksgiving dinner for all the students and missionaries on campus. It tasted just like home as we chowed down all afternoon!

Thanksgiving Dinner! |
We missed our families back in Colorado, but we felt so blessed to spend the holiday with part of our Ternopil team and an awesome missionary couple (Aaron and Donna), who are currently serving in Germany. We also got to reconnect with Karissa, a friend from Calvary Aurora who is currently a student at CCBCE. It was great to see her and hear about how the Lord is preparing her for the mission field.
After the Thanksgiving dinner we had one last session where Pastor Phil from Calvary Budapest spoke. It was such a blessing to just spend the evening worshiping and praising The Lord.

Missionary Friends from Germany |
I think we've been experiencing a lot of spiritual warfare lately, specifically physical attacks. The first part of the week Emily was battling flu-like symptoms and Friday morning I came down with strep (Please pray for our friend/team member Aaron as well as he got strep a few days before me). Emily and I are both feeling better, but defiantly not 100% yet.

Byron & Aaron in Budapest |
Friday morning we got back on a train for Budapest. We were headed to the Ukrainian embassy to pick up our visas! Thank you for all your prayers because our applications were approved and we received our visas! The whole process was smoother than we could have hoped for. The Lord really blessed us. We have nothing but good things to say about the Ukrainian embassy in Budapest. Please continue to pray for our visa process as now we have 45 days in Ukraine to officially register them.

Starbucks with Berci |
Our last day in Hungary was spent with our new good friend, Berci. Unfortunately his wife wasn't feeling well so we didn't get to meet her (Please keep her in your prayers). But we had a great day touring the city (and of course we stopped at KFC and Starbucks!).

We arrived back in Ternopil this afternoon (in time to celebrate Emily's birthday!) and we're happy to be home. The Lord really blessed us during our time in Hungary. We hope we can visit again soon.
Once again, We hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving! Please keep us in your prayers as we get back into our ministry routines.
Blessings,
Byron (and Emily too)
Happy Birthday, Emily! Has our package arrived yet? We missed you guys on Thanksgiving but are so glad you had a good celebration in Hungary! Love, Mom J.
