Hey Everyone!
As you can see, we are well on our way through with "The Update Series," and have pretty much caught you up on everything that's been happening.
Today's update is something that I'm especially excited about. For the last three or so months, Byron and I have been working to build a website for Calvary Donetsk. This was long, hard work for us - especially because we have zero HTML experience, and basically had no idea what we were doing.
Over the last three months, we seriously prayed for this website more than I thought was even possibly haha
I can truly say, since I moved to Ukraine, I have really learned the value of praying about EVERYTHING!
And, just like always, God was so faithful to us with this website. He helped us to figure out how to google the questions we had, connected us with a couple awesome friends that are HTML geniuses, and He gave us wisdom as we took on the task of writing out the details of Calvary Donetsk - What we believe, our statement of faith, and really, the heartbeat of Calvary Donetsk.
As we finished up the last few details of the English portion of the website today, we were amazed to just look at how far we've come from when we first arrived in Donetsk. God has given us such a clear vision for ministry and Calvary Donetsk, and we're really blessed and excited by that.
So, before I give you the link to the website, I have to post a disclaimer:
1) The website is still unfinished - As a church, we are currently meeting in our apartment, so we don't have our location posted on the website. However, we are actively praying about, and looking for, an office space to rent and begin using as our church location (You'll hear more about this in a later "Update."). So, that explains the absence of a "location."
2) It isn't translated yet - The most important part of the website is the Russian portion, seeing as we're in a Russian speaking city, and most of our ministry is geared towards Russian speakers. Now that the English side of the website is basically done, we can begin translating everything into Russian, and we'll eventually have a bilingual website.

Oh, and one more thing before you get the link :)
We are really excited to announce that our church plant is officially going to be "Calvary Donetsk" !!!
We really agonized over which name to choose, and we prayed about it so much. There is already a church in Donetsk that goes by the name "Calvary" (It is not affiliated with Calvary Chapels though), and so we weren't sure if we should use a name that could cause confusion. However, the Lord really spoke clearly to us about the name, and we feel like our fellowship here in Donetsk should be named "Calvary Donetsk," as you will see on the website.
Ok! So, without further delay, may I present, Calvary Donetsk :)
Blessings,
Emily
