Immediately

"Then He said to them, 'Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.' They Immediately left their nets and followed Him." Matthew 4:19-20
Snowing at dusk

A few days ago I started studying Matthew's Gospel. It's probably been a a few years since I've studied this book, but what a blessing it is. This particular passage was a huge encouragement to me. I love how Andrew and Peter react to Jesus's calling here. Jesus calls them to follow Him. And what do they do? They follow Him. Not only do they follow Him, but it says they follow Him immediately! I love it. They heard His voice and they immediately dropped what they were doing and respond. What is better than immediate obedience to Jesus? Probably nothing.

Ice everywhere!
This immediate response of following after Jesus has quickly become standard in our daily routine. With spiritual warfare being a daily constant thing in our lives now, we have two choices to make: Fall into these attacks or drop everything and fall into His arms. We heard His calling this summer to move here... and we followed. Now that we are here, He has a new calling, a daily calling for us and that calling is to focus in on Him and hear his voice.

We're simply praying everyday for the Lord to guide our steps, open our eyes, and pour out His love for the people in Ukraine. We want to immediately follow after His voice.

Christmas tree going up in the center
I hope this passage encourages you guys as much as it encouraged me. We're so thankful for all of you who read our blog and pray for us. I hope you enjoy reading our posts as much as we enjoy writing them.

I hope your Christmas season is beginning well... Here are a few pictures on how Ternopil looks as we prepare for the holidays.

God bless,
Byron
