Emily loves her chocolate! |
It's awesome how, no matter where you are in the world, brothers and sisters in Christ can connect and encourage one another. This is what I experienced during our little vacation to Lviv this past week. Like Emily mentioned in the last post, we were blessed to stay at the home of friend's brother and his wife (Sergey and Galya). The two evenings we stayed with them we ended up staying up very late chatting and eating amazing food! What an encouragement this couple was to us. It was so nice to be able to share our hearts with each other and talk about the Lord, ministry, Ukraine and anything else you could think of. We have had our fair share of discouragements since arriving to the mission field and I think God just really blessed us by putting Sergey and Galya in our lives this week. We feel so encouraged and refreshed after spending time with our new friends.

Passing time on the train home |
Emily and I spent the mornings and afternoons simply walking around the city and going on mini dates to different coffee shops, restaurants, and of course the famous Lviv Chocolate Factory. The Lord has really blessed our marriage, and we were really happy to have these few days of just hanging out with each other.
So now we are back in Ternopil after a refreshing couple days in Lviv. It feels like we have new zeal and excitement from the Lord. It was really good to just be refreshed by the Lord, encouraged by friends, and spend time with my wife. I'm excited to see what the Lord has in store for us in the weeks to come.
God bless,
Byron
By the way: As of today we are officially registered in Ukraine! The Lord has blessed us with a fairly easy visa application and registration process which we are so thankful for. Just another confirmation from the Lord that He wants us in Ukraine. Our registration is good for a year, so Ukraine is stuck with us until at least January 2014... and hopefully many more years to come!
