Halfway Through Baseball Camp

Hey guys,

Baseball in Ukraine Day #1
Thank you all for your prayers for us and the ministry this week as we have been hosting a baseball camp for teenage boys. Today we are midway through the camp and it has been awesome to see God work through it.

Monday and Tuesday we had great weather and a great turnout (20-25 boys). I (Byron) am feeling blessed to be able to pour into these kids lives as I teach them not only baseball, but about Jesus' love and grace.

Byron Sharing the Gospel
We've already seen some improvement in their baseball skills and they seem excited to come back and play everyday. They have also been attentively listening to me as I share the Gospel at the end of the evenings.

Today (Wednesday) has been raining all day, so we couldn't play baseball. However, we decided to still be faithful and spend about 30 minutes at the field in case anyone showed up, regardless of the rain. 10 boys still came out! We brought the boys inside for snacks and a baseball movie (The Rookie). Even though the rain was a disappointment, God knows what these kids needed today and that was to simply build relationships and have conversations with us. We're excited to continue getting to know these guys and point them towards Jesus.

Please continue to pray for Thursday and Friday as we finish out the camp. Pray that the weather holds these next two days so we can get back out on the ball field. Pray for the teens' hearts to be softened towards the Lord.

Blessings,
Byron
