Pray for Ukraine

Hey friends and family,

Many of you have contacted us to see how we are doing concerning the current situation in Ukraine. Thank you for your prayers and concerns for us. Please continue to be praying for the people of Ukraine, be praying that God uses this in a mighty way to draw people to Him.

Here is our update for those of you who have inquired:

Violence, protesting, and rioting has not touched or affected our city at this point. We are completely safe and this has not affected our daily life and ministry. Yesterday was the first day that we noticed anything out of the norm when people were swarming the ATMs and banks to get cash. We were unsuccessful in making any withdraws yesterday, but today we found an ATM with plenty of cash. There have been many rumors about services from banks, internet, phone, and food being cut off... none of which we have seen to be true yet. We still have internet, phone coverage, and the stores still have their normal amounts of products.

Our ministry, language lessons, Bible studies, orphan outreach, English teaching, transportation, and everyday life is continuing on as normal. We have no intentions of leaving the country or ceasing the ministry that the Lord has laid before us, unless we are forced to leave.

With that being said, we don't want to downplay or diminish what's been happening in Kiev, and other western Ukraine cities. This situation is very serious and dangerous, and we are constantly in prayer for those who are near the violence. We have been broken hearted over the loss of life in Kiev and are crying out to The Lord for the people that are experiencing loss and pain.

Our hope and priority right now is to cover this country in prayer. We are asking you to join us, our church, and the churches in Ukraine, in lifting this situation up to the Father. We know that even in the midst of chaos, The Lord is completely in control, and we fully trust Him. Be praying especially for those who have lost loved ones during this time. Be praying that the people and government turn their eyes to Jesus for their true source of peace and hope.

Thank you again for your prayers and concern, we love you guys!

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

    1. Hi Calvary Spokane!

I was just looking through old blog posts and saw there was an unread comment on this one, so I clicked and read your message! Sorry we never saw this message!

Thank you for your praters... It's been a hard year, but we're really excited to be coming through this trail and to be returning to Ukraine again.
