New Year's Part II

I can't believe it's 2013.

Although I've already had four days to come around to the idea, I still just can't believe it. Last New Year's, I never would have dreamed of spending January 1, 2013 in Ukraine. And look at us now... We live here! It's truly unbelievable.

So much has changed this past year - some easy changes, some difficult changes. And, of course, the biggest change was moving to Ukraine.

Last year, I don't think I made any New Year's resolutions, but this year, I've decided to be sure to make a few. Byron has a theory about resolutions. He says, "More than three, and you're bound to fail. Less than three, and you're really not hoping to accomplish much. Three's the perfect amount."

So, with Byron's advice in mind, here are my big three:

1) Eat breakfast every day (it's not as easy as it sounds... I love my sleep!)
2) Study Ukrainian at least 3 times a week
3) Read the Bible daily (This is my goal every year, with or without resolutions, and I always keep it on my list of goals, just so I stay on the "straight and narrow" and don't grow complacent with my Bible reading)

Hopefully by this time next year, I'll be posting about how I accomplished all of my goals, with the Lord's help. And, I hope all of you will accomplish everything you are hoping for this year as well. Remember, nothing is impossible in Christ. May you walk in the Spirit and listing to Him as He guides you this year.

Blessings,
Emily
